HK stocks open down 0.30 pct on CNOOC
HONG KONG, May 28 (Reuters) - Hong Kong stocks opened 0.30
percent lower on Wednesday after oil and gas producer CNOOC Ltd
(0883.HK) dropped as crude prices fell on a stronger U.S. dollar.
Oil fell $4 to $128 a barrel on Tuesday, pulled down by the stronger U.S. dollar and concerns that moves to cut Asian fuel subsidies could hurt demand growth.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index .HSI opened down 73.01 points at 24,209.03.
The China Enterprises Index of Hong Kong-listed companies .HSCE, or H shares, opened down 0.41 percent at 13,275.47.
