Hong Kong shares fall on Chinese telcos

HONG KONG, June 4 (Reuters) - Hong Kong shares were set to open 0.2 percent lower on Wednesday, with Chinese telecom companies adding to hefty losses in the previous session.

China Unicom (0762.HK) was down 1.9 percent after it gave up up over 14 percent on Tuesday. China Mobile (0941.HK) fell 0.4 percent, but fixed-line operator China Netcom edged up 0.9 percent.

The Hang Seng Index .HSI was 48.04 points lower at 24,327.72.

The China Enterprises Index .HSCE, which measures the performance of locally listed mainalnd companies, fell 0.5 percent.
