Bear shares dip

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Shares of Bear Stearns Cos Inc (BSC.N: Quote, Profile, Research) declined 5.2 percent after the closing bell on Thursday after a filing showed that its chairman and his wife sold shares.

Earlier this week, JPMorgan Chase & Co (JPM.N: Quote, Profile, Research) boosted its offer for Bear fivefold to $10 a share.

Bear shares were down at $10.65 in after-hours trading after closing at $11.23 on the New York Stock Exchange.
