SunPower, Suntech shares rise on Senate move
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Solar energy companies SunPower Corp SPWR.O and Suntech Power (STP.N) rose in extended trade on Tuesday after the Senate approved a package to extend $18 billion in tax credits for use of renewable energy resources.
SunPower shares rose to $89.50, up 2.2 percent from their closing level at $87.51, while SunTech Power shares added 2.3 percent to $41.39 after closing at $40.45.
