Nordstrom shares fall after halving fourth-quarter outlook

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Shares of Nordstrom Inc (JWN.N) fell 4.5 percent to $12.38 after the company's fourth-quarter outlook fell well below analyst expectations.

The retailer also said it would open fewer stores from 2009 to 2010 than previously planned. Same store sales for the third quarter fell 11.1 percent from a year earlier.
