Hyatt revenue rises 9 pct as occupancy, room rates increase

Feb 14 (Reuters) - Hyatt Hotels Corp reported a 9 percent rise in quarterly revenue due to higher occupancy and room rates across most of its properties.

Net income attributable to Hyatt doubled to $32 million, or 20 cents per share, in the fourth quarter ended Dec. 31 from $16 million, or 9 cents per share, a year earlier.

The company’s revenue rose to $1.09 billion from $1 billion.

Total revenue per available room (RevPAR) for hotels open at least one year rose 4.2 percent.
