UPDATE 1-LKQ Corp Q3 earnings beat Street view

Oct 29 (Reuters) - Automobile-parts recycler LKQ Corp (LKQX.O) posted a better-than-expected quarterly profit, mainly helped by same-store sales growth of aftermarket parts sales, and raised lower end of its 2009 earnings view.

For the third quarter, the company reported earnings of $29.2 million, or 20 cents a share, compared with earnings of $25.1 million, or 18 cents a share in the year-ago period.

Excluding items, it earned 22 cents a share.

Revenue rose 3 percent to 494.8 million.

Analysts on average were expecting earnings of 19 cents a share, before items, on revenue of $499.7 million, according to Thomson Reuters I/B/E/S.

For 2009, the company now expects earnings of 83 cents to 86 cents a share, compared with its prior view of 81 cents to 86 cents a share. Analysts were expecting earnings of 83 cents a share.
