TRANSCEPT PHARMACEUTICALS (TSPT.O), $11.47, down 40 pct

The company said the U.S. Food and Drug Administration did not approve its experimental sleep disorder drug Intermezzo, citing safety issues. [ID:nBNG93325]

THOMAS WEISEL PARTNERS GROUP (TWPG.O), closed at $5.10

The company posted a wider-than-expected quarterly loss but said it expected to return to profitability in 2010. [ID:nBNG436904]

INTERDIGITAL INC (IDCC.O), $19.85, up 7 pct

The wireless technology firm posted a better-than-expected third-quarter. [ID:nBNG260543]

HARMONIC INC (HLIT.O), closed at $5.94

The company's quarterly profit missed market estimates. [ID:nBNG120632]

SHUTTERFLY INC (SFLY.O), closed at $13.80

The company posted third-quarter results. [ID:nWNAB6004]

MOLINA HEALTHCARE (MOH.N), closed at $18.81

The company's third-quarter results came in below market estimates and said it does not expect to meet its previously announced full-year outlook. [ID:nWNAB5973]

MICROMET INC (MITI.O), $5.68, up 15 pct

The company signed a deal with French drug maker Sanofi-Aventis to develop an early-stage cancer treatment. [ID:nLT189008]

SEQUENOM (SQNM.O), $2.90, down 3 pct

Xenomics filed a lawsuit against Sequenom alleging fraud. [ID:nWNAB6554]

AMERICAN SUPERCONDUCTOR CORP (AMSC.O), $33.00, up 14 pct

The company posted a quarterly profit helped by strong bookings, and it raised its full-year outlook. [ID:nBNG418022]

SUPERIOR WELL SERVICES (SWSI.O), $11.15, up 4 pct

The company said it priced its offering of 6 million shares. [ID:nWEN5596

FLOWSERVE CORP (FLS.N), $95.00, down 4 pct

The industrial pump maker lowered its earnings outlook for the full year. [ID:nBNG306039]

FORMFACTOR INC (FORM.O), closed at $17.87

The semiconductor equipment maker posted a wider quarterly loss, and forecast a weak fourth quarter. [ID:nBNG506898]

ITRON INC (ITRI.O), $56.48, down 2 pct

The power meter maker posted quarterly results that missed estimates. [ID:nBNG303251]

HARMONIC INC (HLIT.O), closed at $5.94
