Oct 27 (Reuters) - The following financial services industry appointments were announced on Tuesday. To inform us of other job changes, e-mail moves@thomsonreuters.com.

UBS AG (UBSN.VX) (UBS.N)

The Swiss bank appointed Robert McCann as the head of its U.S. wealth management unit. McCann, who will be based in New York, succeeds Marten Hoekstra, who is leaving UBS. [ID:nLR324450]

BARCLAYS CAPITAL

The bank appointed Joseph Gatto as chairman of investment banking for the Americas. Gatto will be based in New York and will continue to report to Hugh McGee, head of global investment banking.

Barclays also appointed Thomas King as co-head of corporate finance within the firm's Investment Banking Division. He will be based in London and will report to McGee. [ID:nLR682271]

Tanja Aalto also joined Barclays Capital as managing director in the global restructuring and finance group. Most recently, Aalto worked at Houlihan Lokey. She will be based in New York and will report to Mark Shapiro.

U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE

Attorney General Eric Holder appointed nine new U.S. Attorneys to serve two-year terms on the Attorney General's Advisory Committee of U.S. Attorneys.

The new appointees are Preet Bharara, Dennis Burke, Jenny Durkan, Paul Fishman, Patrick Fitzgerald, Neil MacBride, Peter Neronha, Joyce White Vance, and Channing Phillips.

SIFMA

Royal Bank of Canada announced that John Taft, head of the U.S. division of RBC Wealth Management, has been named chair-elect of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association (SIFMA) for 2010.

JEFFERIES (JEF.N)

The New York-based investment bank named Benjamin Lorello as global head of investment banking and capital markets.

REGIONS FINANCIAL CORP (RF.N)

The Birmingham, Alabama-based bank appointed John Owen as head of its consumer services group. Owen, a senior executive vice president and member of Regions' executive council, was previously responsible for Regions' operations and technology group.

MOODY'S CORP (MCO.N)

The New York-based rating services company promoted Anthony Mirenda to vice president of global communications. Most recently, he led the company's media relations activities.

JUPITER ASSET MANAGEMENT [JPAMG.UL]

The British financial company hired high-profile fund manager Guy de Blonay from Anglo-Australian fund firm Henderson Group (HGGH.L) [ID:nLR586935].

MILLER BUCKFIRE & Co

The New York-based investment bank hired Jason Anderson as a managing director focused on companies in the general industrial and automotive sectors. Anderson joins Miller Buckfire from Banc of America Securities.

TRAVELEX

The provider of international payments appointed Christopher Russell as executive vice president for global vertical markets. Russell will be based in Washington D.C.

UMB Financial Corp (UMBF.O)

The Kansas City, Missouri-based financial services company appointed Nancy Buese as director of its board. (Compiled by Juan Lagorio in New York)
