Western Digital sees 4th qtr EPS 77-83 cents

SAN FRANCISCO, April 24 (Reuters) - Western Digital Corp (WDC.N) said on Thursday it expects fiscal fourth-quarter earnings per share of 77 cents to 83 cents on revenue of $1.825 billion to $1.9 billion.

Analysts, on average, expect fourth-quarter net income of 73 cents and revenue of $1.87 billion, according to Reuters Estimates.

Western Digital, the world's second-largest computer disk-drive maker after Seagate Technology STX.N, also said it saw "greater than anticipated pricing action" on hard disk drives at the end of March.

Company executives made the forecast on a conference call with analysts after Western Digital reported fiscal third-quarter results. (Reporting by Philipp Gollner)
