BEIJING (Reuters) - China's top quality regulator has quit following a scandal over tainted infant milk formula, the official Xinhua news agency said on Monday. "China's chief quality supervisor Li Changjiang stepped down on Monday afternoon with the approval of the State Council after tainted dairy products sickened nearly 13,000 infants," Xinhua said in a brief report.

He will be replaced by Wang Yong, a senior Cabinet official who is a member of the Communist Party's main discipline body.
