Turkey - Factors to Watch on April 30

    ISTANBUL, April 30 (Reuters) - Here are news stories, press 
reports and events that could affect Turkish financial markets 
on Thursday. 
    The lira  was trading at 1.587 to the dollar in early 
trade after gaining more than 2.6 percent to close at 1.595 on 
Wednesday. The main share index <.XU100> rose to a six-month 
high of 30,746.39 points, up 5.34 percent on the day. The yield 
on the new Feb 2, 2011, bond <0#TRTSYSUM=IS> fell to 12.28 
percent on Wednesday from a previous 12.40 percent. 
     
    GLOBAL MARKETS 
    World stocks strike a four-month peak, powered by gains in 
Asia, as investors take heart from signs of improvement in the 
U.S. economy. A record drop in U.S. business inventories in the 
first-quarter and surprisingly robust consumer spending are seen 
by economists as a sign growth will pick up in the world's 
largest economy in the coming months.

    CABINET RESHUFFLE 
    Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan is expected to present changes 
in his cabinet for presidential approval this week. The 
foreign-policy and economy posts may change as the government 
tries to tackle a weakening economy. 
     
    INFLATION 
    The Central Bank is due to release its quarterly inflation 
report. 
     
    TRADE 
    March trade-balance data is due at 1400 GMT. 
     
    OTOKAR  
    The vehicle manufacturer owned by Koc Holding  
posts an 18 percent decline in first-quarter net profit as 
demand in the automotive sector worldwide slumps, Referans 
newspaper says. Sales fall 2 percent to 117.5 million lira. 
Otokar remains profitable because of orders it received last 
year for armoured vehicles, Referans says. 
     
    AKSA AKRILIK  
    Aksa Akrilik receives a 49-year license from the state 
energy-markets regulator to produce electricity in northwest 
Turkey, it said in a statement to the Istanbul Stock Exchange. 
     
    ANADOLU EFES  
    Turkey's biggest beer-maker Efes will distribute a net 
dividend of 0.2580 lira per nominal one lira share for corporate 
tax payers, and net of 0.2193 for real persons, according to a 
filing with the exchange.
