PARIS, July 9 (Reuters) - French carmaker PSA Peugeot Citroen (PEUP.PA) said on Thursday it was not working with Japan's Mitsubishi Motors Corp (7211.T) on developing plug-in hybrid vehicles, denying a report in Japan's Nikkei newspaper.

"We deny the information. We are working well with Mitsubishi on electric vehicles," a PSA Peugeot Citroen spokesman told Reuters. He added "we have our own research into plug-in hybrids."
