Thai Hot Stocks-Energy shares drop

 BANGKOK, Sept 14 (Reuters) - Thailand's benchmark stock
index .SETI was down 1.77 percent at 695.27 just before the
close on Monday.
 Stocks on the move included:
 PTT (PTT.BK), BIG CAP ENERGY SHARES SLUMP
 A bout of late selling pushed shares in PTT, Thailand's
biggest energy firm, 2.6 percent lower to 258 baht, their
lowest since Sept. 9, as oil fell more than a dollar toward $68
a barrel.
 PTT Exploration (PTTE.BK) dropped 4 percent to 142.5 baht,
Thai Oil (TOP.BK) slid 6.4 percent to 44.25 baht and PTT
Chemical PTTC.BK was off 4.6 percent.

 KHON KAEN SUGAR KSL.BK FALLS AFTER RESULTS
 The country's fourth-biggest sugar miller was down 2.8
percent at 14 baht after it posted a 3.4 percent fall in
May-July quarterly net profit to 154 million baht.

 THAICOM THCOM.BK OFF HIGH AFTER STAKE SALE DENIAL
 Shares in the satellite operator erased some of its early
gains after the company said it and major shareholder Shin Corp
SHIN.BK had not been in talks to sell a stake in Thaicom to
Samart Corp (SAMA.BK), denying a newspaper report.
 At 0812 GMT, Thaicom shares were up 1.9 percent at 8.05
baht, coming off an early gain to 8.20 baht, the highest level
since Aug. 26.
 The Nation newspaper quoted an industry source as saying
Singapore's state investment arm, Temasek Holdings [TEM.UL],
was talking to Thai firms, including telecoms conglomerate
Samart Corp (SAMA.BK), about buying a stake in Thaicom.
 Samart shares were unchanged at 6.2 baht, recouping early
losses.

 SIAM CITY BANK SCIB.BK NEAR ONE-WEEK HIGH
 The small lender gained 1.4 percent to 22.4 baht, having
hit 22.5 baht, its highest since Sept. 8.
 Its major shareholder, the Financial Institutions
Development Fund (FIDF), an arm of the central bank, is meeting
on Monday to select a financial adviser for a stake sale.

 TMB BANK TMB.BK HITS 15-MONTH HIGH
 The sixth-ranked bank was up 0.8 percent at 1.24 baht,
climbing earlier to 1.25 baht, its highest since June 17, 2008,
on technical buying, dealers said.
