India's Tata Comm FY09 capex at $400-500 mln

NEW DELHI, March 12 (Reuters) - Capital expenditure by India's Tata Communications (TATA.BO) would be between $400 million and $500 million in the 2008/09 fiscal year, a senior official said on Thursday.

The firm's capital expenditure in 2009/10, excluding an upcoming WiMax auction, would be of a similar size, Srinivasa Addepalli, senior vice president for corporate strategy, told reporters.

The New York-listed company (TCL.N), formerly Videsh Sanchar Nigam Ltd, provides international calls and network services for companies. (Reporting by Devidutta Tripathy; Editing by John Mair)
