NEW DELHI, Oct 16 (Reuters) - GAIL India Ltd (GAIL.BO) has bought an liquefied natural gas (LNG) cargo from BG (BG.L) at about $5.5 per million British thermal units for November delivery at the Dahej terminal in western India, a company executive told reporters on Friday.

"After customs duty and regassification charges, the cargo will cost about $6.4 per mBtu ex-terminal," the company executive, who did not wish to be identified, told reporters.

He said GAIL had finalised the order but was yet to intimate BG. (Reporting by Nidhi Verma; )
