Indian shares extend gains to 1 pct; Infosys up

MUMBAI, Nov 11 (Reuters) - Indian shares extended gains to 1 percent on Wednesday morning, led by gains in software companies such as Infosys Technologies (INFY.BO), with a rise in Asian shares helping the sentiment.

At 11:31 a.m. (0601 GMT), the 30-share BSE index .BSESN was up 1.07 percent at 16,616.41 points, with 23 components gaining.

Infosys rose 2.8 percent to 2,280.05 rupees.

The 50-share NSE index was up 1.05 percent at 4,932.90. (Reporting by Ami Shah)
