UPDATE 1-Active Power posts Q4 loss, sees Q1 rev below estimates

Feb 1 (Reuters) - Active Power Inc (ACPW.O), a maker of battery-free power supply products, reported a fourth-quarter loss in line with Wall Street view, but forecast first-quarter revenue below analysts' estimates, sending its shares down more than 5 percent.
The company reported a quarterly net loss of $5.9 million, or 10 cents a share, including an inventory and asset impairment charge of 4 cents a share. Revenue came in at $10.2 million.
Analysts had expected a loss of 6 cents a share, excluding items, on revenue of $9.7 million, according to Reuters Estimates.
The Austin, Texas-based company forecast a first-quarter loss of about 5 to 7 cents a share, on revenue of $8 million to $10 million.
Analysts were expecting a loss of 6 cents a share, excluding items, on revenue of $10.7 million.
