Ricardo FY pretax profit up; confident of future

Sept 24 (Reuters) - British engineering consultancy Ricardo Plc (RCDO.L) on Wednesday posted a 20 percent rise in full-year pretax profit on higher revenue and said it is confident about the future as it made a good start to the new year.

For the year to end-June, the company said its pretax profit rose to 14.7 million pounds ($27.3 million) from 12.2 million last year as revenue grew 15 percent to 197.7 million pounds.

The company also raised its full-year dividend to 10.6 pence from last year's 10.0 pence.
