Nov 5 (Reuters) - Oil field products and services company T-3 Energy Services Inc (TTES.O) reported lower third-quarter income, hurt by hurricane charges and strategic alternative costs.

For the quarter ended Sept. 30, the company's net income fell 34 percent to $4.7 million. Excluding items, profit was 79 cents a share.

Hurricanes Gustav and Ike had hurt the company during the quarter by causing delays in the completion of sales transactions and increased costs due to lost absorption, downtime pay and property damage at facilities near the Gulf Coast.

Shares of the company closed at $25.41 Tuesday on Nasdaq.
