Hambledon Aug production at Kazakhstan mine falls

Oct 9 (Reuters) - Gold miner Hambledon Mining Plc (HMB.L) on Thursday reported "disappointing" August production numbers at its Sekisovskoye mine in Kazakhstan, after delays in the commissioning process.

Recovered gold for the month fell to 1,332 ounces from 1,786 ounces in July, and recovered silver reduced to 2,313 ounces from 3,422 ounces, the AIM-listed company said.

For September, the company, however, reported a rise to 2,190 ounces of recovered gold and 2,961 ounces of recovered silver.

At 0852 GMT, Hambledon was down 12.24 percent at 5.5 pence a share. (Reporting by Balachander Surianarayanan in Bangalore; editing by Simon Jessop)
