April 30 (Reuters) - British insurance broker Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT.L) said its first-quarter performance was ahead of the same period last year, in line with its view and it remained on track to meet its full-year financial goals.

Jardine Lloyd, which makes money through fees and commissions on insurance policies it arranges, said the company had seen good rate of business renewal and new business wins during the quarter.
