Stocks

May 28 (Reuters) - BMO Capital Markets began coverage of Lake Shore Gold Corp (LSG.TO) and San Gold Corp (SGR.V) with "outperform" ratings, citing a combination of strong growth, robust near-term cash flow, and lower cash costs.

Analyst Andrew Kaip also started Aurizon Mines Ltd (ARZ.TO) with "market perform," saying higher-cost open-pit production from the company's Joanna project may jeopardize its pre-eminent position in gold production.

Rubicon Minerals Corp's (RMX.TO) focus on production potential is critical to realizing the long-term value for the company, analyst Kaip said, while initiating the company's coverage with a "market perform" rating. (Reporting by Anurag Kotoky in Bangalore; Editing by Anil D'Silva)
