April 17 (Reuters) - Hansen Medical Inc's (HNSN.O) public offering of 11.7 million shares was priced at $3.25 apiece, a discount of 15 percent to the stock's Thursday closing price.

Shares of the company fell as much as 12 percent Friday, a day after the company forecast first-quarter revenue below analysts' estimates, hurt by lower sale of its robotic catheter systems. [ID:nWNAB4232]

Hansen Medical expects gross proceeds of $38 million from the offering, which is expected to close on April 22.

Piper Jaffray & Co will be the sole manager for the offering, the company said in a statement.

Hansen Medical shares were down 6 percent at $3.58 in morning trade. They closed at $3.82 Thursday on Nasdaq.
