CREDIT SUISSE (CSGN.VX)

Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX) said it has appointed Michael Ingelog as chief executive of the Nordic Region. Ingelog would join in January 2010. He would initially be based in London and would relocate to the Nordic region over time. Ingelog joined from Deutsche Bank.

SOCIETE GENERALE (SOGN.PA)

Societe Generale's (SOGN.PA) private banking arm said it appointed a new chief executive for its Middle Eastern business, as the French bank seeks to expand its wealth management presence in the world's biggest oil exporting region. [ID:nL9334477]

FUBON BANK (0636.HK)

Fubon Bank (Hong Kong) Ltd (0636.HK), a subsidiary of Fubon Financial Holding Co Ltd, said it has appointed Pei-Hwa Thomas Liang as managing director and chief executive, with effect from Nov 9. Liang joined Fubon Group in 2005 and currently serves as head of Consumer Finance Group of Fubon Financial.

ASSOCIATION OF PENSION LAWYERS

Pauline Sibbit, partner at Sacker & Partners LLP, a specialist pensions law firm, has been elected as chairman of the Association of Pension Lawyers (APL) for a two-year period.

SOPHIS

Sophis, a provider of cross-asset, front-to-back portfolio and risk management solutions, said it has appointed Rene Flor as its new area sales director for Switzerland and Luxembourg. Rene joined from Odyssey Financial Technologies.

SVG INVESTMENT MANAGERS LTD

SVG Investment Managers Ltd (SVGIM), the specialist public equity arm of SVG Capital Plc (SVI.L), said it has promoted Adam Steiner to chief executive following the appointment of Tony Dalwood to CEO of SVG Advisers. Steiner was the head of research for SVGIM, will now take over day-to-day running of the team. SVGIM also appointed Dalwood as chairman of the SVGIM board.

DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE) Deutsche Bank (DBKGn.DE) said on Monday it hired Credit Suisse (CSGN.VX) banker Giuseppe Baldelli as head of Italian mergers and acquisitions. [ID:nL9533428] (Compiled by Shobhana Chadha in Bangalore)
