June 8 (Reuters) - The following financial services industry appointments were announced on Monday. To inform us of other job changes, send an email to moves@thomsonreuters.com.

UBS (UBSN.VX)

William Newby joined UBS as managing director and head of Americas gaming and leisure coverage in its real estate investment banking group.

Prior to that, Newby, 51, was a senior client manager for Banc of America Securities' gaming and leisure group.

Newby will be based in Los Angeles and report to Jackson Hsieh, global head of real estate investment banking.

WESTWOOD CAPITAL

The investment bank hired John Ogle and Jasjit Singh as managing directors to expand operations in fixed-income securities advisory, trading and management.

Ogle and Singh will head the firm's fixed-income advisory and trading practice departments.

Prior to that, Ogle was with Deutsche Bank, while Singh managed the North America proprietary structured credit trading book at Lehman Brothers Principal Strategies division from 2006 until 2008.

EVERCORE WEALTH MANAGEMENT

The investment advisor division of Evercore Partners Inc named William Vaughn and Judith Moses as equity portfolio managers, and Charles Swindells as senior adviser.

CRT CAPITAL

David Ader and Ian Lyngen next month will join investment bank CRT Capital Holdings, where they will cover interest rates and bonds. Prior to that, Ader was global head of interest rate strategy at RBS Securities, and Lyngen was an interest-rate strategist at the same brokerage.

INVESCO

The investment management company added Thomas J. Hughes to its institutional sales and client service team as managing director, where he will be responsible for marketing Invesco's investment strategies to insurance companies, corporations, endowments and foundations.

Most recently, Hughes was head of the financial institutions channel at Morgan Stanley Investment Management.

CANTOR FITZGERALD

George Goncalves joined Cantor Fitzgerald's debt capital markets team as a managing director and head of fixed income rates strategy.

Prior to that, Goncalves held similar fixed-income research and strategy positions, most recently at Morgan Stanley and Banc of America Securities.

Goncalves will report to Brian Edmonds, head of the primary dealer's interest rates product division.

ADVENT INTERNATIONAL

Robert Wigley joined private equity firm Advent International as an operating partner advising on opportunities in financial services in Europe.

Prior to that, Wigley was chairman of Merrill Lynch Europe, Middle East and Africa.

NOVARICA

The research and advisory services division of Novantas LLC said it appointed Robert Ellis as principal in charge of its new wealth management research and advisory practice. Ellis was most recently at Celent.

ALLIANT INSURANCE SERVICES

The specialty insurance brokerage firm said it appointed Tom Turnure to Seattle-based ClearPoint, an Alliant company, as first vice president. Prior to joining ClearPoint, Turnure formed and operated Turnure & Associates LLC and subsequently Seattle Insurance Group.

HSBC PRIVATE BANK

The firm appointed Bernard Rennell as global head of private wealth solutions, HSBC Private Bank's trust and estate planning service. Rennell joined the firm five years ago as head of Private Wealth Solutions, Asia, following the acquisition of Bank of Bermuda.

DELOITTE

The business advisory firm said it appointed Philipp Keller to its European solvency II team. Keller, who joins the Zurich office as head of insurance risk management, was previously at the Federal Office of Private Insurance.

Deloitte also said it appointed Mark Naysmith as a resilience director in its security, privacy and resilience group. Naysmith was previously at Deutsche Boerse, the Frankfurt Stock Exchange.

ARCH INSURANCE GROUP

The division of Arch Capital Group Ltd (ACGL.O) appointed David McElroy as president of the newly created financial and professional liability products group of its U.S.-based operations. McElroy most recently headed Hartford's Specialty Financial division.

PICTET ASSET MANAGEMENT

The asset manager, an institutional division of the Swiss private bank Pictet & Cie, said it appointed Gavin Sharpe as president of Pictet Asset Management (Japan) Ltd. Sharpe succeeds Yoshiharu Okazaki, who will become nonexecutive chairman. The changes are effective July 1.

LLOYDS TSB DEVELOPMENT CAPITAL (LDC)

The private equity arm of the Lloyds Banking Group said it appointed John-Paul Preston to its legal and risk team, effective immediately. Prior to joining LDC, Preston was a legal counsel at Coutts & Co.

TRADITION

The interdealer broker said it appointed Stephen Jack as chief financial officer. Jack, who joins from Straumur Investment bank, will be based in London and Lausanne and begin his new role on June 8.
