May 18 (Reuters) - The following financial services industry appointments were announced on Monday. To inform us of other job changes, e-mail moves@thomsonreuters.com.

O'MELVENY & MYERS LPP

The law firm said Sherri Snelson, an acquisition finance lawyer, will be joining its London office as a partner and member of the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets Practice.

Snelson most recently was a partner at Fried, Frank, Harris, Shriver & Jacobson LLP in London.

SOCIETE GENERALE (SOGN.PA)

The French bank said it has hired investment banker Thierry d'Argent from Wall Street rival JP Morgan (JPM.N) as part of a plan to strengthen its mergers and acquisitions team. [ID:nLI344977]

BARCLAYS CAPITAL (BARC.L)

The investment bank has appointed Timothy Last managing director, head of equity derivatives flow sales, non-Japan Asia. He will be based in Hong Kong. Last was most recently with Merrill Lynch in Hong Kong, where he was head of equity derivatives sales in Asia-Pacific.

STANDARD CHARTERED BANK (STAN.L)

The bank has appointed Tee Choon Hong managing director, regional head of capital markets for North-East Asia. He is based in Hong Kong and will report to Christian Wait, global head of capital markets. He spent 10 years with Deutsche Bank in Hong Kong as managing director.

CHARLEMAGNE CAPITAL

The equity investment management group appointed Michael Russell head of private equity, property, based in London with immediate effect. Russell, who takes over day-to-day responsibilities from David Curl, joins from Jones Lang LaSalle Corporate Finance, where he was a national director in the private equity team operating a number of non-discretionary private investor property funds.

KINGSWAY FINANCIAL SERVICES (KFS.TO) (KFS.N)

Canadian property and casualty insurer Kingsway Financial Services Inc (KFS.TO) (KFS.N) said Chief Financial Officer Shelly Gobin left the company. [ID:nBNG491088]

KOHLBERG KRAVIS ROBERTS & CO

The asset manager has appointed Ambassador Ford Fraker senior adviser. Fraker was formerly U.S. ambassador to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and chairman of private investment banking firm Trinity Group Ltd.

GAIN CAPITAL HOLDINGS INC

The provider of online foreign exchange trading services appointed Jane Foley research director, FOREX.com. Foley spent eight years at Barclays Capital as director of forex strategy.

EVOLUTION SECURITIES LTD

Britain's independent investment bank has appointed Guy Froud to join the sales desk in July. Froud was formerly head of the emerging markets sales desk at Citigroup, which he joined in 2000.

COLLINS STEWART

The financial advisory group has appointed Mark Wilson as an analyst covering the pan-European capital goods sector. Previously, he covered both mechanical and electrical stocks at Goldman Sachs and then at Lehman Brothers.

KROLL

The risk consultancy appointed Tom Hartley regional managing director of consulting services for Europe, Middle East and Africa. Hartley joins from KPMG in London, where he led the British arm of the transactions services strategy group.

EXECUTION LTD

The brokerage has appointed Ben Johnson a member of the portfolio and electronic trading team, Alternative Execution. Prior to this, he worked with Dresdner Kleinwort which he joined in June 2003.

MANAGING PARTNERS LTD

The boutique fund manager has appointed Graeme Duncan financial director. Duncan joins from asset management group SGI-management in Hong Kong, where he was finance & operations director.

SOCIAL FINANCE LTD

The provider of financial services to social sector organizations in Britain has appointed David Hutchison chief executive officer. Hutchison was previously with investment bank Dresdner Kleinwort most recently as head of U.K. investment banking.

BEA UNION INVESTMENT MANAGEMENT LTD

The asset management company promoted Elke Schoeppl to the position of chief investment officer, effective July 1, 2009. Prior to joining BEA Union Investment, Schoeppl specialized in Asian and emerging market equities at Union Asset Management Holding AG in Frankfurt, one of BEA Union Investment's parent firms.
