Sept 22 (Reuters) - The following bids, mergers, acquisitions and disposals involving European, U.S. and Asian companies were reported by 2000 GMT on Tuesday.

** China Investment Corp, a $200 billion sovereign wealth fund, has bought a 14.5 percent stake in trading firm Noble Group for $850 million, giving China greater exposure to global commodities and trading expertise.

** South Korean conglomerate SK Group said it had submitted a bid for local movie theatre chain Megabox, owned by a fund managed by Macquarie Group and reportedly worth about $207 million. [ID:nSEO238739]

** Brazilian mining company Vale said it agreed with Germany's ThyssenKrupp Steel to increase its stake in steelmaker Siderurgica do Atlantico to 26.87 percent from 10 percent for 965 million euros ($1.42 billion). [ID:nN21272143]

** Dell Inc plans to buy Perot Systems Corp for about $3.9 billion, paying a steep 67.5 percent premium to expand its technology services business and compete with Hewlett-Packard Co and IBM. [ID:nN21265091]

** The deadline for preliminary bids for South Korean builder Daewoo Engineering & Construction (047040.KS) was set for next Tuesday, two sources said, with more than 20 firms, including steel giant POSCO (005490.KS), invited. [ID:nSEO254054]

** Eike Batista, a Brazilian industrial magnate, said on he may consider buying a stake in Vale (VALE5.SA) (VALE.N), the world's largest iron ore exporter, if given the chance. [ID:nN21317132]

** Hedge fund Harbinger Capital Partners said in a regulatory filing it had sold about 5 million shares in New York Times Co (NYT.N) at $8.25 apiece on Sept. 17, to reduce its stake to 16.38 percent from 19.94 percent. [ID:nLM144383]

** Japanese brewer Suntory [SUNTH.UL] has made a binding bid for soft drinks maker Orangina Schweppes, its private equity owners said, in a sign buy-out houses may find it easier to exit investments. [ID: nLM200825]

** Goodyear Tyre & Rubber Co. (GT.N) offered to buy out minority shareholders in its Polish unit Debica DEBA.WA at 59.52 zlotys per share, a brokerage running the transaction said in a statement. [ID: nLM652354]

** Private equity firm Onex Corp will sell 11 million subordinate voting shares in contract electronics manufacturer Celestica Inc (CLS.TO) for C$113.3 million, the company said. [ID: nBNG489796]

** Privately held smart grid networking company Silver Spring Networks said it would buy Greenbox Technology, adding energy-management software to its arsenal.[ID:nN22347010]

** Safilo (SFLG.MI) said it received no binding offer for the firm after shareholders in a local rival bought into the debt-laden eyewear maker and a report said another stakeholder was mulling a bid.
