UPDATE 1-Kalahari finds high grade uranium zone at Rossing South

Oct 9 (Reuters) - Namibia-focused miner Kalahari Minerals (KAH.L) said a new high grade zone of uranium mineralisation had been discovered at Rossing South, owned by Australia's Extract Resources (EXT.AX)(EXT.TO).

Shares of Kalahari, which holds about 40 percent of Extract, rose 19 pence to 211 pence by 0933 GMT on Friday on the London Stock Exchange.

The company said the results reinforced that Extract had the potential to deliver well in excess of 500 million pounds of uranium oxide. [ID:nL4511784] (Reporting by Purwa Naveen Raman in Bangalore; Editing by Himani Sarkar)
