India's Torrent Pharma gets US nod for risperidone

MUMBAI (Reuters) - India's Torrent Pharmaceuticals Ltd's (TORP.BO) generic, risperidone, in tablet forms of various strengths, has got the approval of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, as per the regulator's website.

The drug is the generic version of Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals' Risperdal, a unit of Johnson & Johnson (JNJ.N).
