Brandhouse Retail sees FY09 rev at 5.52 bln rupees

MUMBAI, March 27 (Reuters) - S Kumars Nationwide (SKMK.BO) group firm Brandhouse Retail Ltd (BRNR.BO), which began publicly trading on Thursday, expects to close FY09 with revenue of 5.52 billion rupees and a net profit of 160 million rupees. "We are hoping to close the year with 683 stores...and will have an EBITDA (earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization) of 378 million rupees," Tarun Joshi, managing director, Brandhouse Retails, said. Revenue is expected to cross 8 billion rupees and net profit will reach 220 million rupees in FY10, while its exclusive brand outlets will exceed 900, Joshi said in a conference call. Growth will be driven by softening rentals and expansion across brands such as Reid & Taylor and Belmonte. Brandhouse Retail shares opened at 95.65 rupees. At 12:48 p.m. they were trading at 19.50 rupees.
