- GOVT TO REVISE '08 BUDGET TO COPE WITH HIGHER SUBSIDIES

The Indonesian government plans to revise its 2008 budget earlier than scheduled to allow for more subsidies for fuels and basic food stuff, Finance Minister Sri Mulyani Indrawati said. The budget deficit is expected to rise to 2.1 percent of GDP from the previously set 1.8 percent.

- BANK MEGA INTERESTED IN FINANCING AIRPORT RAILWAY

Indonesian lender PT Bank Mega Tbk (MEGA.JK) is interested in financing part of the 4.5 trillion rupiah ($484.7 million) railway project to the Jakarta international airport, an official at RaiLink, the developer of the project, said.
