Malaysia's Genting Q2 net profit down 26 pct

KUALA LUMPUR, Aug 26 (Reuters) - Malaysian conglomerate Genting (GENT.KL) reported on Wednesday a 26 percent drop in second-quarter net profit as the economic crisis hit its casino operations.

Second-quarter net profit was 214.49 million Malaysian ringgit ($60.86 million) compared with 291.04 million ringgit a year ago.
