-- Employees are worried that their annual leave or salary will be affected if they are quarantined should they have the symptoms of the A (H1N1) influenza, the Human Resources Ministry said.

-- Although Permodalan Nasional Bhd (PNB) has raised it stake in SP Setia Bhd (SETI.KL) to 32.9 percent which can easily trigger a general offer if it decides to further increase its stake to 33 percent in the coming days, the company's president Liew Kee Sin is unperturbed by worries of a potential takeover.

-- Developer MK Land Holdings Bhd (MKLH.KL) is partnering two other companies for a three billion ringgit residential development project in northern Bangalore, India, MK Land chief executive officer Mustapha Kamal Abu Bakar said.

-- Aberdeen Asset Management, which manages over $143 billion (506 billion ringgit) worldwide at the end of April, said the recent months' sharp run-up in share prices is not sustainable because it's not driven by fundamentals, said an investment manager with Aberdden in Asia, Christopher Wong.

-- Faced with a four-fold increase in influenza A (H1N1) cases in one week, health authorities on Wednesday admitted there are "gaps in the system" to contain the dreaded flu epidemic, Health director-general Mohd Ismail Merican said.

-- Berjaya Media Bhd (BJME.KL) (formerly known as Nexnews Bhd) recorded a consolidated revenue of 82.81 million ringgit and pre-tax profit of 36.42 million ringgit for the 16-month period ending April 30, 2009.

-- Amanah Saham Nasional Bhd on Wednesday announced a lower income distribution of 6.30 cents per unit for its Amanah Saham Didik for financial year ending June 30, 2009, Permodalan Nasional Bhd chairman Ahmad Sarji Abdul Hamid said.
