-- A Parti Keadilan Rakyat (PKR) supreme council member and a special assistant to a Penang state exco member have admitted to meeting Penanti by-election independent candidate Aminah Abdullah.

-- The newly set up financial guarantee institution, Danajamin Nasional Bhd, has received tremendous interest and the first bond is expected to be guaranteed in one to two months' time, its chairman Hamidy Hafiz said.

-- Tanjung Offshore Bhd (TJGO.KL), an integrated oil and gas service provider, has bid for some 30 project this year, its managing director Omar Khalid said.

-- Malaysia views with concern the underground nuclear test carried out by North Korea as it would only add to tensions in the Korean peninsula and East Asia, Prime Minister Najib Razak said.

-- The shareholder dispute in EON Capital Bhd (EONP.KL) over a proposed fund-rising exercise appears to have receded following a proposal for its single largest shareholder, Primus Pacific Partners, to subscribe for a warrants issue amounting to 29.5 million ringgit, EON Capital said in a statement.

-- Insurance companies are no longer willing to provide third party motor insurance under their banner, and instead are sending customers to a high-risk insurance pool run collectively by the industry under orders from the regulators.

-- In what is seen as a blow to the People's Progressive Party's credibility, Prime Minister Najib Razak said on Tuesday he would verify the political party's status before deciding whether to accept its invitation to open its general assembly.

-- The government is reviewing the National Automotive Policy (NAP) which will be concluded by the third quarter of this year, Deputy Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said.
