Microgen sees H1 profits beating expectations

LONDON, July 9 (Reuters) - British software firm Microgen Plc (MCGN.L) said on Monday that it anticipated first half pretax profits before exceptional items would be slightly ahead of management expectations.

The company -- which last month agreed a 25.6 million pounds cash offer for Trace Group TCC.L -- said in a statement it considered the first half of the year to have delivered a strong performance.
