FRANKFURT, Nov 16 (Reuters) - Deutsche Lufthansa (LHAG.DE) expects to make a book gain of 10 million euros ($14.6 million) by selling its stake in aviation consultancy Simat, Helliesen & Eichner to ICF International (ICFI.O), Lufthansa said on Friday. "The companies have already signed a definitive agreement," Lufthansa said in a statement. "The closing of the transaction, which is subject to certain conditions, is planned by the end of the year."

The German airline's Lufthansa Consulting unit had 49 percent of shares in Simat, Helliesen & Eichner.

The rest was owned by staff and will also be sold to ICF, Lufthansa added. The acquisition price for all shares will be $51 million. (Reporting by James Regan; Editing by Quentin Bryar)
