Egypt Sinai Cement says Q1 net profit up 21.5 pct

CAIRO, May 18 (Reuters) - Egypt's Sinai Cement (SCEM.CA) reported first quarter net profit up 21.5 percent to 97.2 million Egyptian pounds ($18 million), the stock exchange said on Sunday.

That was up from 80 million pounds a year earlier, the bourse said in a statement without further details.

Shares in Sinai Cement last traded 0.3 percent down at 61.17 Egyptian pounds. (Writing by Alaa Shahine; Editing by Jason Neely) ($1=5.35 Egyptian pounds)
