LONDON, July 2 (Reuters) - The following corporate finance-related stories were reported by media on Thursday:

* Spain's Telefonica (TEF.MC) is looking at the case for buying T-Mobile UK, the British mobile phone operator owned by Deutsche Telekom (DTEGn.DE), the Financial Times reported, citing people familiar with the situation [ID:nL1500720].

* Chinese carmaker Beijing Automotive Industry Holding Co plans to present a detailed bid for General Motors Corp's GMGMQ.PK Opel unit in the next few days, the Wall Street Journal reported [ID:nBNG209659]
