MADRID, April 2 (Reuters) - Spanish gaming group Codere (CDRE.MC) said on Thursday that an Argentine judge has decided to allow the company to continue to operate a bingo hall in the country until a legal matter regarding its licence is resolved.

In January local regulators failed to approve Codere's licence to operate Bingo Platense in La Plata, the province around the capital Buenos Aires. The Spanish firm appealed against the decision.

The bingo hall had sales of more than 20 million euros in 2007, contributing 11 percent of total sales from Codere's 14 bingo halls in Argentina. (Reporting by Robert Hetz; Writing by Judy MacInnes; Editing by Greg Mahlich)
