German stocks - Factors to watch on August 5

FRANKFURT, Aug 5 (Reuters) - The DAX top-30 index .GDAXI looked set to open 0.1 percent lower on Wednesday, according to premarket data from brokers at 0615 GMT.

The following are some of the factors that may move German stocks on Wednesday:

DEUTSCHE BOERSE (DB1Gn.DE)

Indicated 3.2 percent lower

The operator of the Frankfurt stock market and derivatives exchanges reported a 34 percent fall in second-quarter operating profit to 248.8 million euros ($356.9 million), well below the average of 281 million euros in a Reuters poll of analysts. ADIDAS (ADSG.DE)

Indicated 1.2 percent higher

HENKEL (HNKG_p.DE)

Indicated 1.1 percent higher

BMW (BMWG.DE)

Indicated 0.2 percent higher

The company is in preliminary talks with French PSA Peugeot Citroen (PEUP.PA) about a shared platform for its Mini small car, the Financial Times newspaper reported, citing industry insiders.

DEUTSCHE BANK (DBKGn.DE)

Indicated 0.4 percent higher

Deutsche is set to take a stake in private bank Sal. Oppenheim, Boersen Zeitung reports, citing German financial sources and political sources in Luxembourg. [ID:nL5655492]

DEUTSCHE TELEKOM (DTEGn.DE)

Indicated 0.2 percent lower

The Verdi union has agreed in principle to up to 3,000 planned job cuts at the T-Systems business this year in return for assurances that forced layoffs will be kept to a minimum and remaining staff will keep their jobs until at least mid-2012, the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung reported.

ARQUES INDUSTRIES (AQUG.DE)

Indicated 8.3 percent higher

Appoints Hans Gisbert Ulmke as CEO. It also said it has sold Actebis Group to Droege Capital with purchase price of at least 40 million euros. The final price depends on the development of the Actegis Group, it said.

Indicated 1.9 percent lower

The company reported second-quarter EBIT of 0.7 million euros, compared with 7.9 million euros in the year-earlier period.
