LONDON, Oct 5 (Reuters) - Morgan Stanley (MS.N) has placed 6 million shares in British housebuilder Persimmon (PSN.L) at 428-435 pence, sources familiar with the deal said on Monday.

At the mid-point of that range, the sale would be worth 26 million pounds ($41.4 million), representing a 2.2 percent discount to Persimmon's closing price.
