TOKYO, Nov 10 (Reuters) - Abu Dhabi National Energy Co (Taqa) TAQA.AD HAS pulled out of talks with Toshiba Corp (6502.T) on a joint bid for Areva's (CEPFi.PA) power transmission and distribution business, two people familiar with the matter said ON Monday.

Toshiba bid alone for the unit, the two people said, speaking on condition of anonymity because the negotiations were not public. Monday was the deadline for final bids.

Toshiba's talks on a joint bid fell apart after Abu Dhabi National Energy failed to secure the agreement of the government of Abu Dhabi, its majority owner, the two people said. (Reporting by Kentaro Hamada and Taro Fuse; Editing by Dan Lalor)
