UK's Centrica offers to buy all of Venture

LONDON, July 10 (Reuters) - British utility Centrica (CNA.L) said on Friday it had bought private equity firm 3i's (III.L) 5.4 percent stake in North Sea oil and gas producer Venture Production to take its stake to approximately 29 percent.

Centrica said it was offering to buy the rest of Venture at 845 pence a share in cash. (Reporting by Tim Castle, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
