LONDON, July 10 (Reuters) - Bank of America Merrill Lynch (BAC.N) said on Friday that Sanaz Zaimi will join the firm's London office early next year from Goldman Sachs (GS.N) in a senior investment banking role.

She will have a dual responsibility as head of sales for fixed-income, currencies and commodities and debt and equity structured products in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Zaimi spent six years at Goldman, culminating as partner and co-head of structured sales for Europe.

A string of senior bankers have left Merrill Lynch since it was acquired by Bank of America, while Goldman Sachs has come out of the credit crunch relatively unscathed.
