WARSAW, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Poland sold almost all of its 5-percent stake in leading paper maker Mondi Swiecie CELA.WA for 67 zlotys ($24) per share, a spokesman for the Polish treasury ministry told Reuters on Thursday.

The price values the sale at almost 168 million zlotys.

The company, a unit of South African paper maker Mondi (MNDJ.J)(MNDI.L), ended Thursday's session on the Warsaw bourse 1.8 percent up at 66.3 zlotys.

The sale is part of the Polish government's wider push to unload small remaining stakes in already privatised companies. ($1=2.781 Zloty) (Reporting by Pawel Bernat; writing by Adrian Krajewski; editing by Simon Jessop)
