TITAN MAY SELL STAKE IN EGYPTIAN OPERATIONS

Titan (TTNr.AT), Greece's biggest cement maker, is considering selling a minority stake in its Egyptian business, as it struggles to cut debt and contain costs in the downturn. [ID:nLJ122250]

EU BLASTS GREECE OVER STATISTICAL DISCREPANCIES

Senior European Union officials chided Greece on Monday for an apparent lack of reliability in its budget-deficit statistics and urged the country's new government to consolidate public finances. [ID:nLJ141651]

CENTRAL BANK TO RELEASE MONETARY POLICY REPORT

The Bank of Greece (BOGr.AT) will release its interim monetary policy report later in the day.

PIRAEUS BANK NOT EYEING RIGHTS ISSUE-CEO

Piraeus Bank (BOPr.AT), Greece's fourth largest lender, said on Monday it is not considering a rights issue as its capital adequacy is sound. Earlier on Monday, Alpha Bank's (ACBr.AT) board decided to proceed with a 986 million euro cash call to raise funds to repay almost 1 billion euros of state support, cutting ties to the government and enabling it to resume dividend payments. GREECE TO AUCTION 1.5 BLN EURO OF 13-WK T-BILLS OCT 20

Greece will auction 1.5 billion euros of 13-week T-bills on Oct 20, according to the country's Public Debt Management Agency (PDMA). [ID:nATH004762]

GREEK ELECTRICITY DEMAND DROPS 9.35 PCT IN SEPT

Electricity consumption in Greece dropped 9.35 percent in September compared to a year earlier, according to the country's grid operator DESMHE, financial daily Kathimerini reported.

EUROPEAN SHARES:EARNINGS OPTIMISM SET TO FUEL SHARP RALLY
