PARIS, Oct 22 (Reuters) - French construction group Vinci (SGEF.PA) won a 370 million euro ($554 million) contract for the construction of Monaco's highest tower, the group said in a statement on Thursday.

Work on the 48-storey, 170-meter high "Tour Odeon", designed by Monaco architect Alexandre Giraldi, will take 56 months and comprise offices and apartments, Vinci said.

Vinci was awarded the contract by Monegasque property developer Groupe Marzocco against France's Bouygues Construction (BOUY.PA) amongst others, a spokesman for Bouygues told Reuters.
