Greencore names new head of UK convenience unit

LONDON, April 23 (Reuters) - Greencore (GNC.I)(GNC.L) said on Thursday it had appointed Diane Walker as chief executive of the Irish group's British convenience foods division.

Walker joined Greencore in June 2004 as managing director of its chilled sauce and soups category and was appointed managing director of Food To Go, the largest convenience food category within the company, in 2006.

Greencore ranks itself as Britain's No.1 sandwich maker, supplying supermarkets, garage forecourts and airlines. (Reporting by Carmel Crimmins; Editing by Hans Peters)
