Italian Stocks - Factors to watch on July 24

 MILAN, July 24 (Reuters) - The following factors could
affect Italian markets on Friday.

 FIAT (FIA.MI)
 The vehicle group raised 1.25 billion euros on Thursday by
issuing a three-year bond that saw huge demand as investors
rushed for the high yield the car maker had offered at a time of
increasing appetite for corporate debt. [ID:nLN343455]
 
  * European new commercial vehicle registrations fell 34.8
percent in June, their fourteenth consecutive monthly drop,
industry association ACEA said on Friday. [ID:nL0510900]
 BANCA POPOLARE DI MILANO (PMII.MI)
 The bank expects "good numbers considering the current
context" in the first half but also reflecting the industry's
problems this year and as it cuts staff, Director General
Fiorenzo Dalu in an interview in MF daily.
 The paperwork for the bank's application for state-backed
bonds has been completed and it is waiting for the resources to
be paid out, he said, adding the bank is mulling sale of a stake
in its asset management activities.
 
  * EDISON (EDN.MI)
 The energy company should post on Friday a second quarter
EBITDA of 400 million euros and net profit of around 91 million
euros, Finanza & Mercati said on Friday citing analysts.

  * ACEA (ACE.MI)
 The APA association of small shareholders has filed a
complaint with market regulator Consob over lack of transparency
in disclosure of talks between Acea and GDF Suez (GSZ.PA),
Finanza e Mercati said citing APA.
 
  * GENERALI (GASI.MI)
 Morgan Stanley has resumed coverage on Italy's largest
insurer with an "underweight" rating and a price target of 15
euros.
 
 SMALL AND MID CAPS
 
 RISANAMENTO (RN.MI)
 The heavily indebted real estate company's board is due to
meet Monday to examine a bailout plan and a management renewal,
ANSA news agency said citing unnamed sources close to the board.
 Banks are close to agreeing a 250-300 million euros
recapitalisation of Risanamento in which major shareholder Luigi
Zunino would have his stake diluted, Il Sole 24 Ore said in an
unsourced report.
 Intesa Sanpaolo (ISP.MI) CEO Corrado Passera said his bank
will examine proposals for Risanamento, he told La Repubblica in
an interview. "What is certain is that its assets exceed its
debts and are of good quality," he said.
 Advisers and bankers for the Risanamento plan are due to
meet Friday, Corriere della Sera said. Citing participants at
Thursday's meeting, it said the climate there was "positive",
also citing the idea of a capital increase of 250-300 million
euros. La Stampa said the general agreement was for the plan
proposed by Banca Leonardo which sees debt conversion into
shares and new financing.

  * Intesa Sanapaolo and UniCredit were pointing towards a
recapitalisation up to 500 million euros, Il Messaggero said.
  
  * Mediobanca (MDBI.MI) director Angelo Caso is a possible
chairman for a revamped Risanamento, Finanza & Mercati said in
an unsourced report.
 
 TELECOM ITALIA MEDIA (TCM.MI)
 The Italian MTV channel, in which the company owns 51
percent, is cutting the jobs of 35 workers on short-term
contracts as part of a restructuring, the CEO of the unit said
in comments in Il Sole 24 Ore on Friday.
